Unless you’ve been in a coma for the past year, you know that there’s a presidential election happening tomorrow in the United States. Because my readers are good citizens, I know you’ll all be voting. And because my readers are also highly clued-in when it comes to their finances, I’m sure you all know that your “I Voted” sticker gets you:
- A free tall coffee at Starbucks
- A free star-shaped doughnut at select Krispy Kreme locations and
- A free scoop of ice cream at Ben and Jerry’s between 5 PM and 8 PM
But those are only the national deals; have you done your research about the local freebies available to those who have done their civic duty (because, of course, you did your research about the candidates and issues months ago, right?)? I just did a quick search, which revealed that a local bakery, Occasionally Cake, will be giving away free cupcakes to voters in my neighborhood on election day. Glad I did my homework!
Looks like I’m having a cupcake and a scoop of ice cream for dinner on Tuesday!
What will you be getting for free tomorrow?
