In keeping with my self-imposed restriction on setting more than three 2011 goals per category (financial, personal, professional), I’ve identified the three personal goals I’d like to accomplish for 2011:
1. Lose 15 lbs. and keep it off
So all that weight I lost last year? Save a few pounds, it’s almost all back 🙁 So this year, I want to lose the weight – Weight Watchers here I come! – but keep it off. In other words, at this time next year I want to weigh 15 lbs. less than I do right now.
2. Complete the Couch 2 5K running program
I’ve attempted and quit this plan SO many times. I almost never set fitness goals anymore because I HATE exercising, but I think it would be good for me mentally and physically to conquer something that I find excruciatingly difficult. Even if I don’t keep up with it after the 8 weeks is up, I’ll feel a great sense of accomplishment in having given running a fair chance.
3. Find a hobby I actually enjoy – and do it regularly
I’ve tried many, many hobbies in the past and have many times stuck with them just to say I have a hobby. This year I want to find a hobby I actually like and do it regularly. “Regularly” is hard to define because I don’t know what the hobby is yet…but I think I’d like to try one new thing every month until I hit on something I really, really like. As in, look forward to doing. Any suggestions for what I should try first?
