I’m back from Ohio and back to blogging! I arrived back from the AP exam reading on Wednesday evening and this is the first morning I’ve actually woken up feeling rested in about two weeks, so I’m ready to buckle down and get some stuff done!
The reading was fantastic. I had an excellent time, and learned a lot of great things about how to be a more effective AP teacher next year. Plus, I’ll probably clear about $1000 for the work that I did – and it definitely was work. I calculated that I read close to 1000 essays in a seven day period. Yikes! But again, the experience couldn’t have been better. I hope I’m invited back next year!
I have a lot of stuff to do in the next week. This is the last week of school, so there’s a ton of stuff to pack up and put away, and I need to work on the curriculum that I’m writing for U.S. history. I’m also probably going to visit my parents next weekend before summer school starts. Busy, busy, busy.
So I just wanted to give a quick update before starting on some chores around my apartment. In my next post I’m going to share some money conversations I had with some people at the reading – let’s just say that there are some very smart people out there who are very clueless about their money.
Until then, enjoy the rest of the weekend!
