….tell people south of the Mason-Dixon line that two feet of snow is on the way! Seriously, I went to the grocery store last night, and you would think that a meteor was headed for the D.C. metro area. I had to stalk some poor man into the parking lot to get his cart from him (there were none to be found anywhere), did battle to get through the aisles, then waited almost 45 minutes in line to check out. And don’t even think about trying to get a snow shovel; I only tried one place because I got laughed at when I asked about shovels. Apparently, I was supposed to have put my name on a list. For a snow shovel. Can you imagine how much these precious shovels must cost? I shudder to think…
If You Want to Know What the Apocalypse Will Look Like…
The first flakes are falling, and by the evening we’re already supposed to have about 5 inches, so I’m holed up in my apartment for the weekend and maybe beyond – school is canceled for today and I’d be surprised if we ended up going in on Monday. So I’ll be doing a lot of blog reading and writing – help me out people, be sure to post this weekend!
Have a great weekend, and stay warm if you live in the DC-Baltimore-Philly region!
