Recently I’ve been eating a lot of junky food. But the problem is, I like high-quality junky food. Like, I can’t just have regular ice cream, I want the super-expensive Ben and Jerry’s. I can’t just munch on store-brand chips, I need Lay’s brand. These expensive (and unhealthy!) habits have caused my grocery spending to spiral out of control recently. I haven’t saved all my receipts so I don’t have exact numbers, but I would guess that I’ve spent over $100 (!!!!) in the last 5 days on groceries.
In my quest to become the person I want to be, I’m scaling back on the junk. But regardless, my grocery expenses are usually really high. I need some suggestions about how to control my spending.
I’m thinking of limiting myself to one grocery trip a week and only spending cash. Does anyone have any other ideas?
