Personal Loan, Be Gone!

July 16, 2009

I just wrote out the check for my very last payment on my personal loan. Ahhh. It feels nice.

I’ll probably owe them a couple bucks in interest next month, but as far as I’m concerned, I’m done. It’s over. The monkey is off my back. Now I’m free to pursue my other financial goals!
This is the first time I’ve paid off a loan, so I’m really loving the feeling of accomplishment. It kind of reenergizes me, makes me feel like I can set any goal and achieve it. I strongly encourage anyone with seemingly insurmountable goals of any kind to hunker down and get started. You can and will accomplish them, it’s just a matter of time and persistence. And get started! I wasted so much time talking about (and complaining about) paying off my personal loan and not actually doing it. Once I got the ball rolling, it became a lot easier to keep going.
Even though summer school is seriously sucking this year, I’m suddenly in a good mood!
