Actually, I’m pretty confident that they did. I got in touch with one of the Comcast representatives that posted on this blog, and she put me in touch with a higher-up at Comcast of Northern VA. The higher-up adjusted my bill substantially, so now I have an $88 credit on my account. Hopefully. The people on the phone are always friendly and pleasant and sound competent, it’s when the bill actually arrives that things go awry. So I’ll let you know in a few weeks if this issue is actually straightened out, but for now everything appears to be ok.
And what about that TV? I’m going to go to Best Buy this weekend and take a look at my options. I want to finance the TV as long as I can get an interest-free deal. Is that a bad idea? I think I’ve become financially disciplined enough to pay off the balance before interest starts accumulating, given what a nightmare it’s been to pay off a high, interest-laden credit card balance. But what do you all think?
PS – Assuming no serious crises emerge in the next few weeks, and Comcast keeps their word, my personal loan will be paid off on June 5. Thank. Goodness.
