I just got back from a really nice long weekend in NY with T. We stayed with his family upstate for a wedding of one of his high school friends and had a really, really excellent time. We both took Thursday and Friday off, so it was relaxing to just be away from the chaos of school for a few days. We saw friends, visited a winery, slept in, and spent time with his family. It was a nice escape for a few days, and we had a really lovely time.
But now it’s back to reality: I came home to laundry, bills, and lesson planning. Speaking of bills, my situation with Comcast is still not resolved. I never received the call from the supervisor, so I’m going to call back again tomorrow. I’ve learned that with Comcast the best thing to do is pay the whole bill, then get a refund later, so I bit the bullet and paid the whole damn $171 today. I’m just crossing my fingers that they come through with the refund as promised.
