Wow, I can’t believe February is almost here. I love February – it’s my birthday month, and I’m a total sucker for goofy holidays like Valentine’s Day. I also think February will be a good month for me financially. Here’s what I’m looking at for February goals:
1. Add $300 to my Freedom Fund
This might be a little bit of a stretch, but I really want to make strides towards my mini-goal of having $2000 in my FF by the end of June. I’m going to have a big extra-income boost in March, but I still want to make some progress in February.
2. Contact Comcast to figure out what to do about my cable/Internet package
I’ve decided that I want to keep my cable, but I need to figure out how to keep the costs down. I’m going to get in touch with Comcast tomorrow and see what they can offer.
3. Do my taxes and save my tax return (this cannot be counted towards goal #1)
I’m hoping my dad will help me with this, but whatever money I get back I plan to save in my Freedom Fund. However, the $300 in goal #1 is to come from my earnings, not the tax return. My tax return money will be in addition to the $300.
4. Lose 5 more lbs.
I ended the month of January with a net loss of 6.5 lbs. If I’m able to lose 5 lbs. in February, I’ll be more than halfway to my goal of losing 20 lbs. I’m pretty confident I can do this.
5. Buy myself something nice (if goal #4 is accomplished)
Mostly, I’m trying to motivate myself to stay on-track with Weight Watchers. If I accomplish goal #4, I want to get a massage. However, not if it means compromising my other financial goals, so I need to find a way to comfortable work this into my plans.
I can’t wait to see what you’re all planning on for February!
